RE: ShadowChemosh's New Community Files Changes

Original thread found here: http://forums.wolflair.com/showpost.php?p=200455&postcount=1

I didn't want take up posts on Shadow's thread to say that after looking over his notes on the changes he (and I'm assuming others) have come up with...

I like it!

The layout is very clear and concise and will make things easier on the contributors and users as well!

I'm sure there will be growing pains but I just wanted to throw out my hat tip to all those that have contributed to the Community Files over the past 6 years. My own personal experience with the files over the last 3 years has been nothing but good.

So, again, THANK YOU to all the contributors and especially to Tim for compiling it all and managing the beast!

looks pretty kewl...just glad i'm not in charge of reorganizing it! hahaha
should be awesome once its all done tho!

Sweet glad its looking good! I am really hopeful for it.

One way in particular that this should help is with content that draws from more than one source. For example, Path of War contains a couple of archetypes for the psionic classes that I was not able to implement, because I had to assume the package was being used by a user who did not also have Ultimate Psionics. Bringing it all together like this will allow us to do that kind of thing more cleanly, to name but one benefit.

Also, hooray for consistent filenaming conventions!
Yes the Psionics and Path of War is one the issues I needed to make sure I fixed.

Plus yea a set naming convention is SO needed. :)

NICE!!

Personally the the community addons are such an important part of the pathfinder HeroLab experience I couldn't dream of gaming with out them. My only real issue was the naming has needed a tweak, and now it is getting it!

Great work by all who are involved, thanks to each and every one of you, and thanks to LWD to have the foresight to ensure HL was fully open for such community support.
