Raw Deal Rule Problem

I am working on the Raw Deal files and have made a lot of progress
on the rules. I have run into a problem though.

Big Slide in the Ring counts as either a Pre-match or a Mid-match
card. You can have up to 8 of each in deck3.

Right now I have 2 rules which check to see that there are 8 or less
mid-match or pre-match respectively.

My current thought is that I would do two records, one with pre-
match tags and one with mid-match tags, and use the identical trait
on the records.

The problem I have is I now need CV to check that there is no more
than 3 copies of either record in the deck. Can anyone help?

The simplest way would simply be to give both of those cards a tag that no
other card has, and then make a rule limiting the number of cards with that
tag to a max of 3, or however many cards as necessary.
