Quick Questions on Class Creation

I am trying to input a class I have run in the past before HL. I am trying to figure out a few things if anyone can help please.

1. How do I enter a familiar? It is a ranger that gains a wizards familiar and I can't figure how to put that in.

2. Is there a way to set up something where the number changes at certain levels instead of making multiple abilites and turning them off and on as needed?
