Questions on house rules support

Hi,

I've come across this because we use fantasy grounds 2 and there is an importer for here into it. We have a lot of house rules in our 3.5e DND game so would like to know how easy these are to build in and support to help me decide if it is worth getting hero lab. A sample of them is below. Are these all possible to add in and if so how much work is it to do so?

  • A free gate pass feat from the players guide will be available on creation.
  • A New race Seela to chose from
  • Bards get D8 hit points.
  • Bards get all skills as a class skill except disable device and open locks.
  • Bards get 10 skill points + int bonus per level.
  • Bards get a bonus feat every 2 levels. They can select from any feat giving a skill bonus or related to bardic music.
  • Bards get Good for all saves
  • Rogues get knowledge dungeoneering as a class skill, Rangers do not.
  • All classes get spot and listen as class skills.
  • New class Commander.
  • New alternate feats (to replace find familiar etc can be selected).
  • New spells.
  • New standard feats.
  • New weapons and equipment.
  • Touch of Idiocy spell does not exist.
  • A bonus stat point will be gained every 2 levels.
  • If your HP roll puts you below average in total you get a value to put you on average HP.

You really buffed up bards in your home game, eh?

Almost all these are possible in the editor (I'm not sure what you mean by "New alternate feats (to replace find familiar etc can be selected)" and the last doesn't require anything but you putting in numbers for Hp as you wish). They would require a significant amount of time and effort investment to both learn how the editor works, and then make the changes you want. Folks on the forums tend to be pretty helpful though, and will point you in the right direction if you've got questions.

Yes because so they so weak otherwise.
Alternate feats are where you chose a different starting feat inplace of something like turn undead or summon familiar.

I agree with Aaron here, you can do all that and more really. It just requires time and a familiarity with the editor. I also have a heavily modifies house rule game, which I was able to do with HL, so it is worth the investment. The ease it adds to a game alone is worth every penny.

That's probably something you'd want to do through class Variants then.

And I always thought bards were fine, but I recognize I am in the minority. They got a bit of a power bump in Pathfinder as well.
