I just found this message because I was having the same problem. My
computer can't seem to find one of my hard drives anymore (luckily,
there's nothing I'll miss on it). After seeing no real solution, I
went into my registry and found where Army Builder looks to see which
letter the CD-ROM drive is. I changed the value to the approprite
letter, and everything works fine now.

Sorry if this solution is repetative, it doesn't show up on an
archive search for this problem.

Most people aren't comfortable editing the Registry manually, so I try not
to suggest this to anyone. <G> However, your solutoin is correct. When your
disk drive vanished from the system, the drive letter of the CD changed.
The old V1.x CDs only initialize this value during the CD install, so a
change in drive letter will "break" things (the new CDs check this every
time automatically). This is discussed on the web-site under the Product
Support section - in the page covering problems for owners of the V1.x CDs.

Thanks, Rob

You might try re-mapping your CD-ROM drive if necessary.

However, if you aren't an experienced computer user, and I do mean VERY
experienced, DO NOT try to modify your registry. You can seriously mess up
your Windows by doing so. I'm training to become a MCSE, and I DON'T mess
with my Registry.
