Having a stab at this system in order to learn the authoring kit. The system is pretty simple, so I figure it's a good place to start!

Work continues apace. Have to do a little more data entry (limiting the scope to the Core book for right now), work on the output formatting, and spruce up the Tac Console.

Been having a blast working on this project. I'm surprised it took me this long to get into the AK having owned Hero Lab for so many years now.

Data entry from the core book is done with the exception of non-combat equipment and special bestiary items.

The handling of Taos and individual effects has benefited greatly from the gizmo discussion. The individual tao effects are now bootstrapped into a gizmo on the tao and then selectively revealed/hidden as you increment/decrement the tao value. (In Qin, you gain access to all tao effects for a given tao at the level you bought it at or lower).

Currently, combat techniques, which in Qin have pre-reqs of different weapon skills at different levels are handled through their own dynamic table on their own tab with a menu things linking it to a valid weapon skill pick. It works nicely, but I'm thinking of trying to make them work via a gizmo on the individual weapon skills. More to come on that.

Just an update with some screenshots. Getting close to done with the Core material. The big to-do is working out how to handle rounds/exchanges in the tac console.

Need to tackle the pass feature in the taccon, but ended up working on renown and deeds last night.

In Qin, your renown score drives how famous your character is, and this is modified by heroic deeds calculated for significance and number of witnesses. It's not exactly as in RAW (the RAW suggests logging deeds by accrued renown, such as "27: Defeated the Ogre of Wei" , rather than by their individual worth.

Also, PCs lose renown if they're out of action, which can also be handled by adding a Deed (or non-Deed) to the table.

A suggestion for the deeds - add them to the journals - there's already a notes button on the journals, and you can total the renown by journal, the same way you can total it from these new renown records you've created.

That's a great suggestion. Thanks!

Looks like this project is just about finished. (Now, awaiting the arrival of Realm Works so I can deploy this with it!).

Attached is a sample piece of output (one of the PCs from the Qin Demo Kit). Logo is sort of rough.
