Is there a way to select a default system selection? i.e. It shows D20 and World of Darkness preview. I most always want to start D20, so can I somehow set it to not even prompt me and just load D20?

Create a new shortcut for launching HL. Then modify that shortcut so that the command line has an additional parameter of "d20", with a space between the program name and the parameter. This will cause the d20 data files to be automatically loaded when you launch HL.
