What is the process for creating a custom ability in hero lab?

Say I had to pick between two pieces of armor at character creation as a racial special ability, how would I start coding this?
 
Leave it as text and tell the user to purchase one or the other for free - you can't use an ability to grant an item that the character could lose or sell.
 
I was referring to something unsellable or losable. Like warforged body armor. The kind thats built into the body itself and can't be removed by the player. at least not if the character is alive.
