Problems with statblock output

Hi folks,

I have two technical problems with 3.7 HL

1. Whenever I try to use the Save Custom Output option with "Sample Statblock", after I am prompted to save the file on the disk, an error message appear that reads:

"An error occurred while transforming the input file: The transformed file could not be written to disk."

2. Whenever I try to use the Output Active Hero Statblock option with "Save to PDF" and "Save File", after I am prompted to save the file on the disk, an error message appear that reads:

"An unexpected error occurred while saving. Please check that the file is not read only and that the disk is not full."

Help!

Does this happen only with specific characters, or with every character you try to output?

If it happens with every character, are you trying to save the file somewhere you don't have permission? Try saving to your "My Documents" directory instead - does that work?

Hope this helps!

It happens with every character. I'm on an Admin user rights in Win XP, and it happens no matter where I try to save to... No other application returns me such errors.

So, one year later, I discovered the source of the problem.

HeroLab apparently has major beef with folders named using characters outside the normal Western encoding. I use Polish Win XP and the Windows profile name I used to operate on is "Właściciel" (en: "Owner") and as you can see it uses our funky letters. Turns out, HeroLab goes haywire with file saving and output in such case.

I made a new Win user profile, named it "Gorbacz" and hey presto, everything is working great. Thought you guys might want to know about that.
