Problem with Oracle side-step mystery

I've created an oracle with the side-step mystery (use CHA instead of DEX for armor class). I have a DEX of 7 (-2 modifier) and a CHA of 20 (+5 modifier). I use Studded Leather armor and a Heavy Steel shield.

I first noticed that instead of showing a +5 in the DEX box under AC Herolab was showing a +3.

Any idea if I may doing something wrong or is there a bug in Herolab?

Any help much appreciated.

Are you encumbered? That has been my most common problem with my AC or skills being lower than expected (and yes the 'dex' will show the max even when it isn't using it all due to encumbrance)

It depends on what your strength is - but I do get Dex +3 when my oracle has Medium Encumbrance.

You're right. A medium load limits your maximum dex bonus to AC to a +3. Could I make an argument that since I'm applying my Charisma bonus to AC and not my Dex bonus, the +3 Dex limit shouldn't apply?

Also, I've noticed another issue -

It appears that Herolab is applying my charisma bonus of +5 to my CMD. My CMD should be 9. 10 plus my BAB of zero, my strength of +1, and my dex of -2. My character sheet correctly shows 10 plus my BAB of zero, my strength of +1, and my dex of -2 but totals them not to 9 but to 16. It appears to be using my charisma of +5 in the CMD total but showing my dex bonus on the character sheet.

Has anyone else had this problem?

Since the sidestep ability specifically says that Max Dex of the armor applies to the Charisma bonus. Which would suggest to me that encumbrance would apply to the Charisma as well.

Don't know about the CMD.
