Problem with Hellfrost datafile

Hi folks,
I tried to create a Norn Paladin. I gave him the AB:Miracles and tried to choose some spells. Thats when I realized that herolab only offers the spells that where listed in Hellfrost Basic Book under the section "New and altered Spells"... and non of Savage Worlds core rules spells (for example Deflection, Boost/lower trait .... ).

Any other AB gives you access to those spells.

Could you please take a look?

Looking at the Hellfrost Powers.user file all of the base power are excluded, but there appear to be Hellfrost versions of all of them in there, including Deflection and Boost/Lower Trait. What are all the boxes you have checked for sources? And, since you mentioned those specifically, do you have the "Hellfrost Powers.user" file as well as the "Hellfrost.user" file?

I have the Hellfrost 2.3.hl datafile that I installed under Windows by double clicking the file.

I have a
Hellfrost Deities.user
Hellfrost Expansion.user
Hellfrost Powers.user
Hellfrost.user

file in the Hero Lab\data\savage directory. To make sure that they are the most current one, I deleted and reinstalled them.
 
I only selected "Hellfrost" from the "user content" boxes.

The only other checked boxes are the ones for the "time periods for equipment access" ones and the "output options".
 
Hmm... nothing is jumping right out at me in those files. I'm not completely certain why CapedCrusader set them up as separate files that way, to be honest (it may have had something to do with the way things worked when he initially created them, though). Which just means he may have to look at it for you. I'll see if I can figure anything else out, but I did notice that despite those powers being in there and that AB Miracles doesn't seem to limit the powers available to it I can't seem to see stuff like Deflection, either. Although was there something going on with Deities and which powers were or were not allowed? I may have to did deeper on that.
 
I need to go over the Powers in the Hellfrost file. I've had some other comments about issues in it. That's the first data file I ever wrote, so it's a little disjointed.

Unlike me. My first data file was perfect... no really, I don't care that your review of it was like 25 pages of fixes and then I STILL had to revise it 4 more times... it was perfect I tell you!

Me too I emerged fully formed formed from the depths of the Internet with data files that had no bugs what so ever. ;)
 
I didn't see what was up when I last looked at up (as I mentioned above) and it's just been the wrong time of year with the holidays to find time to try and dig any deeper. I'd guess the same is true for CC. It may be best to remind him again after the new year (then again, for me we're getting into carnival season after 12th night and that's a whole other can of worms here in New Orleans... I may get no rest until after Mardi Gras!)
