problem with fire damage

I am trying to enter a fairly simple monster for the first called a Flaming skull from the first part of the Carrion Crown Adventure path

I am having a problem with its attack that does d2-1 damage plus d6 fire
I cannot work out how to add the fire damage

I thought I would check how it is done with existing monster like hell hound and the flaming skeleton and I am surprised to see that they seem to be missing their bonus fire damage to their melee attacks?

Any ideas how I can add fire damage?

Thanks for that link Chava, it still doesn't explain why those monsters are missing their fire damage bonus to their melee attacks

If you look at monsters that deal fire damage - azer, fire elemental - they don't have fire damage added to the weapon/slams.

It isn't something that is automatic in HeroLab, however, if you want the fire to show up on the weapons tab, instead of just on the Special Tab, you can use Shadow's programming to figure it out, maybe.

are there any plans address by the developers? This seems a major bug to me if you plan to use the tactical consule.

Well major/minor their will be some disagreement of its importance in the list of things to do. I am sure its on the "to-do" list but probably somewhere near the bottom.

Anyways as pointed out the community add-on I created does what you want for free. It adds a bunch of extra adjustments in the "adjust" tab and one of them can be used to set "+1d6 fire" after a weapon.

You could also use the script to make a new creature do it without the adjustment. Otherwise for already created monsters you add the adjustment and save the portfolio.

Here is the LINK to all the stuff my adjustments add-on covers.

Thanks for doing the mod but I have say that I consider that Herolab showing the wrong attack damage in the tactical console is a pretty major fault, it means I have to check my rule books each time I use a stock monster as I can't rely on hero lab to list any extra damage types or even to list a grab attack or a poison attack on the console display even it's mentioned in the main monster description which it frequently isn't. I also use herolab to import monsters into D20pro so I will have to now check if hero lab hasn't made a mistake.

No you just have to look at the Special Tab. In general if the monster does fire damage on a slam in addition to the standard damage it is there.
