Post Links to your Custom Sheets here

I've been using AncientOne's custom sheets and I really like them, but I've got a couple of requests.

1. Could you add charges for wands? It's really tough to keep track of them otherwise.

2. Would it be possible to have an option to add page breaks of some kind between sections? My current sorcerer has the "0 Level Spells" header at the bottom of his sheet and I can't seem to adjust the bottom margin in such a way that that doesn't happen AND the last spell on the list (which has a a multiple line range) doesn't have part of the range on a blank page.

In any case, thanks for the great sheet!

Thanks for the input MaxKaladin! I'll look into these along with the other requests that have been made.

AncientOne/Arrandale's sheets still not working properly with Mac beta

I've emailed with development, and they point me back to you guys. I'm still getting truncated weapon text on both sheets (which is why I think it's a mac beta bug, and not your sheets). Instead of a +1 keen longsword, I get +1 (1-hand).

The XML output looks correct though. I've attached the XML output and the HTML output for one of them as an example.

Hi... I don't see any attachments on your post. I'm happy to take a look though; want to send them to me by PM or email?

I'm not in the Mac beta but, in principle, the HTML should be correct if the XML is correct -- unless, of course, there's something different about the XSLT processor that they're using in the Mac version (which is entirely possible).

Been playing with Custom Sheets a bit for myself and a friend, came in here to ask a question and found AncientOne's sheet pretty much does everything I want anyway! Thanks for the awesome sheet!

As always, I have a request for it - My friend manually edits his character sheet to put his spells in a list similar to tracked resources with 2 checkboxes, prepared and used (he is a cleric) on page 1 under Languages. Is there any chance of adding something like this? It would make this custom sheet -perfect- for him.

Also, I'm a Chrome user and I print the output to PDF in Chrome (yay for built in PDF!) but it seems it won't support the colors or even the black backgrounds for headers. I've looked around and found what could hopefully fix this for you since Google aren't going to fix it in Chrome but a CSS line can fix it
http://blog.crondesign.com/2011/11/print-css-backgrounds-in-google-chrome.html
EDIT: went and looked more into it, seems that only works with fixed width divs :( More info here - http://jsfiddle.net/DdqHr/18/
For now I'll just open it in IE or Firefox and print directly.

A wishful thinking one - I play a Barbarian. I don't think there would ever be a way, but the ability to show both Normal and Rage stats would be awesome. For now I just print out two sheets, one with Normal and one with Rage enabled.

Thanks for the awesome sheet again!

Thanks for the comments and suggestions Cuzza! Also, thanks for trying to find a fix for Chrome's printing limitation... I can't even begin to describe how that limitation frustrates me. :(

To all who've made suggestions... It's been a while since I added new features to the sheet, but be assured that it's still alive and well. I'm not going to commit myself to a timeline (yet), but I'm keeping the list of suggestions and will be making updates.

Hi AncientOne,

I have a level 3 Divination (Foresight) Wizard, which has 2 specialty school slots to prepare slots. However these do not appear in the prepared-spells summary block, even though they do seem to be in the xml file under <spellsmemorized>

Cheers for the awesome sheet!

Hi... somehow I missed the notification about this post and didn't see it until now. Sorry!

Anyway, I'll certainly add this to my list to check into!

Hello there,

thanks for the great work on those sheets and sharing them with us. Using AncientOnes right now.
Regarding that I have a few questions/suggestions.

1.) Spell resistance: my character is wearing a robe with sr =18. In the official sheet it´s shown under specials (not very obvious). In AncientOne´s it doesn´t seem to appear at all (except in item description). Am I missing something? Would love to see that on the front page, btw.

2.) for spellcaster: an output for the concentration bonus and the spell penetration bonus (feats and items).

3.) not sure if this is a problem with my internetbrowser. An (optional) page break after the memorized spells, before the spellbook. Having the spellbook with all infos beginning on a new page would be nice.

Keep up the good work.

regards

Thanks for the comments and suggestions Philip!

Regarding #1... does the SR from your robe appear in the spell resistance box on the first page?

Regarding #3... This isn't a problem with your browser; there's currently no page break between the list of prepared spells and the spellbook. I would have to make that optional (as you suggested) because some users would be unhappy about wasting paper in the case where there were only a couple of lines of prepared spells at the top of the page.

Hello,

checked the Spell resistance issue. The field on the front page (haven´t seen that at first at all ;-)) is empty. Same happens with Armidale´s custom sheet too.
Tried it with a mantle of spell resistance. Same thing, value isn´t shown in the output.

regards

Hey AncientOne is there any chance you would be interested in working on the one for Shadowrun as well?

Well... I wouldn't mind working on it sometime, but I've never played Shadowrun. Although I get a lot of suggestions from others on the Pathfinder sheet, I still rely on my own experience as a player and DM when I have to make trade-offs or judgement calls on the sheet design.

My fear is that my lack of Shadowrun experience would result in a fairly generic sheet.

It turns out that this is a problem with the XML created by Hero Lab. That bit of the XML isn't being populated when you wear the item, so it can't show up on the character sheet.

The only workaround I can think of is to manually assign a spell resistance to the character in Hero Lab when you have an item that confers SR. You'll have to remember to remove the spell resistance when you remove the magic item, but at least the SR value would show up on the sheet.

BTW, these charges should already be appearing in the "tracked resources" block...

AncientOne's Customizable Pathfinder Sheet v3.2 has just been released. The new features are:

  • Support for minions (animal companions, familiars, mounts, etc). Use the control panel to choose
    • no minion display
    • display them in a Beastiary-like format
    • display them in a standard character sheet.
  • The control panel now allows you to control how spellbooks are displayed. You can choose
    • do not display spellbooks
    • display only a summary table of the spellbook
    • display only the full text of the spells in the spellbook
    • display both the summary table and the full text.
  • In the summary table of prepared spells, the range for close/medium/long is calculated for you. The full range formula still appears in the detailed spell text.
  • Weapons of non-standard sizes now have a size indicator appear next to the weapon name.
  • Wizard specialist "bonus" spells now appear in the list of prepared spells. They're indicated with a small "s" next to the spell level. Note: Due to the XML that the sheet is created from, it is possible for a multiclassed cleric/wizard to end up with domain spells in the wizard list and specialist spells in the cleric list. :(

As always, don't hesitate to let me know if you have problems or suggestions. :D

Dear AncientOne,

I have a request. I would like to be able to edit the Combat Maneuvers table. I have bonus to the Reposition maneuver that I cannot figure out how else to add. I'd like to be able to just edit it into the bonus on the table.

Thanks,

Kizan

I'd like to second that request!

No problem. I'll include that in the next update.
