Not sure if this has been ever brought up, but I thought about it the other day while playing, and figured it wouldn't hurt to mention it.

Would there be a way to convert coin on the fly? What I mean is, if I'm carrying around 100pp and no other coin, and want to buy something for 35gp, I need to convert some pp to gp before I can make the purchase. Would it be possible that Hero Lab would do the conversion itself, and then put the remainder back? So, if I bought the item worth 35gp, Hero Lab would deduct the 4pp, convert it to 40gp, spend the 35gp and then leave me with 96pp 5gp.

Not sure if this is possible or not, just thought I'd run it up the flagpole and see if anybody salutes.
 
Journal tab:

Set the PP at -4 and the GP at +40, and then press Earn.

If you're purchasing this as a gear item that will be added to your character, this is handled automatically.
 
Thanks for the response. I knew about doing it on the journal tab, but didn't realize it did the conversion automatically when adding it to the character. For some reason, there was a spot where something didn't convert, and I had to do the conversion manually (through the journal tab.) I thought it was when purchasing something, but I must be remembering it wrong. :P

Ah well, I guess it DOES do what I was asking. If I find out what it was I'm thinking about, perhaps I'll post again then. ;)
 
On the journal tab, there's currently a bug that if you pay with coins you don't have (but have enough cash overall), it won't autoconvert like it does in the gear purchase mechanisms.
