Possible new user question

Greetings!

I have used Army Builder in the past when I was playing Warhammer 40K regularly. I found it to be helpful and relatively easy to use. The frustration of, course, was over the downloading of community created army files which was always a chore and were prone to small but irksome errors but were certainly easier to correct that hand entering all the army data.

When I discovered that Lone Wolf made a product for character sheet tracking for Pathfinder, I was excited! However, if I am reading this correctly, the purchase price of $30 includes only the core rules. If I wish to use content from books such as Ultimate X or Advanced X Guide, there is an additional fee or I must enter this information myself. In other words, there are no freely accessible user created files for other OGL content?

I just want to make sure I understand the system before I purchase the product. Thank you in advance!

That's correct. The initial purchase includes content from the core rulebook, player content from the Adventure Paths, and some legacy monsters/templates carried over from 3.5 (but not all of the bestiary).

I believe there are user created files out there for some OGL content. But my understanding is that the other Pathfinder game books (Ultimate X Guide, Advanced X Guide, etc) are not OGL.

Actually all the books are OGL, but really the work for the community to do it when it's available already for purchase is silly.

Yep correct. We have added on to things like the Adventure Paths that LW does not cover. Or many 3PP products or even Adventure Paths. But redoing the work from LW and trying to support it would pretty much give me a heart attack.
