Player Edition and Realm Works 1.0.23 Now Available!

Whereas before I couldn't sync, post update I can't even log in. :(

Since this new version requires syncing, and I'm still having that -500 syncing error, does this mean my software is now useless until it gets fixed?

Syncing is independent of logging in. The -500 error occurs during syncing, but you should still be able to log in. Also, the -500 error may occur on one realm but not another.

For the login problem, please try again as I fixed an issue on the server that was preventing some people (but not everyone) from logging in.

Error in constructing invite

Congrats on the release of the Player Edition!

Manage > Realm > Invitations > Create Invitation, and filling in the form to send an invite generated an error on my end:

RW_error1_Invite.jpg

Using RW 1.0.1023.183
Title bar of RW indicates I'm logged in, and sender address is same as my login.

Edit: Might I assume this is because of what the invite dialog suggests, that the invitee must first have a RW account with LW?

Pretty sure it's not right that players can't sync down from the server to view changes I've made to the realm.

Can this be confirmed?

I don't have a sync button on the ribbon, if that makes any difference, but a full sync from My Realms doesn't allow update of the player versions.

will there be a mac version?

Player Edition is built with GM Edition as it's foundation, so both versions are currently PC only. In the future we're planning to expand Realm Works to the web, which is our (current) planned Mac solution as the web will work on any device with an internet connection.

Will i be able to log into my own game as a player when i have a GM license, just to see what i show to other players?
Or do i need a player license too?

We are working to get a bug fix release out shortly with fixes to the various issues that have been reported today. Stay tuned...

You won't "login" as a player. You'll instead use the missing "Enter Player Mode" button on the ribbon bar. This will be fixed shortly.

A number of small issues that users have been posting should be resolved in the latest release (1.0.24), including the missing "Enter Player Mode" button and players being unable to sync changes.

Any ETA on this release?

The players mode button is now showing & working perfectly for me.

Many thanks to all involved fixing this so quickly!

It should be out now. If you check for updates under the Tools menu in the launcher, it should come up.
Ah! I had just started the program, thinking it would check all by itself. The way you had phrased it, I thought it should be available.

Thanks for the speady response!

The sync claims to complete, but nothing changes (including sync status - it still reports as needing to sync). I replied to my previous ticket (#52305).
