PDFs have to take Armored Crew Compartments?

Can the 40K AB files be modified to make generic PDF forces, not just
Armageddon PDF? i.e. no longer require Armored crew compartments
and allow Leman Russ Exterminators and Vanquishers, Ogryns, etc.

Well, according to what i'm reading from what tim wrote...if its not an
Armageddon PDF, its just an IG army.

Yeah, I guess I misread it. What I envision is a PDF with Hive
Militia, but not having the Armored Crew Compartment restriction
since the PDF is not from Armageddon. It also seems odd to have the
restrictions on Orgyns and Leman Russ variants, as the addition of
Hive Militia isn't a huge advantage (but appropriate for Armageddon
fluff). Essentially I'd like to see rules for a "generic" PDF, not
one that is Armageddon specific. I do realize that the rules in
Codex Armageddon are what they are and can't be changed but I'd like
to take a "regular" IG army WITH Hive Militia. And I could live with
some restrictions (though I like the Exterminator and Vanquisher
models I have, so maybe no Basilisk and Hellhounds and Rough Riders
would work, I don't have those yet, hehe) but the mandatory armor
crew compartment makes Sentinels awfully pricey and doesn't fit a
"generic" army. I guess I can't have my cake and eat it too. But
they made LR Crusaders available to all SM armies, why not Hive
Milita to all IG armies (have to talk to Tim I guess).

Just make an army builder file which augments the Hive Gang unit with the
'race:ig' attribute.
