PDF functionality request

I wanted to ask what would need to happen to get PDF writer WITH editable PDF support?

Some of my players like using the PDF over HeroLab to find and game with characters and instead of using notepad or the like to write down changes they have asked if editable PDFs were possible. I said I'd ask. To me the functional standpoint seems easy enough, but I assume licensing that feature will come in as a hit. I am obviously willing to pay for that feature. Thank you for taking time to read this.
