Does that mean I have to hit the little plus sign a hundred times for each non, or is there some way to do it en masse? I know about batch editing, but can you batch edit the target field? And is there some shortcut to input amounts of 10 or 100 into the own/acquire/excess/target fields?

By the way, I think a keyboard shortcut for inputting into inventory/decks/armies would be a very good idea. It's actually something one of my favorite games, Star!, uses. Stars! is an old turn-based strategy title, and as it includes lots of building stuff, it's very important to have an easy way to enter a bunch of a particular ship/resource/whatever into the queue at once. It accomplishes this by allowing you to click the name of what you want to enter once to increase it by one, then you can Shift-click to increase the amount by 10 and Ctrl-click to increase by 100. If you could do this exact thing in the deckbuilding and inventory windows, it would drastically save time, from entering lands into a magic deck, to, well, increasing the target field by a great amount.

can only have one in play at a time, there is no reason to have any more.
But then with non-uniques, there is no limit to how many you can have in
play, so I would prefer no target for them, or even a target of infinity if
that could some how make it easier, which doesn't seem likely.

Filter for uniques, set the Target to 1, then filter for non-uniques, and
set it to 100. With Batch Edits, that'd take maybe three minutes.

Someone hasn't cracked the manual yet. And Ed spent DAYS (weeks?) working
on it (and I spent a lot of time editing and proofing it, too). :-P

Within inventory, go to the "Card" menu. There are options to manually
enter a specific value for each field (although I just noticed "target" is
missing - oops).

Also, if you hold down the <shift> key and click on a +/-, it adjusts the
count by 5. If you use the <ctrl> key, it adjusts by 10. This applies to
inventory adjustments AND to deck construction, so adding 21 lands to your
deck requires adding the land, then ctrl-clicking the + button twice.

FYI: The keyboard shortcuts have been present since V1.0. :-P

I strongly recommend that you browse through the manual. Ed's writing style
is quick and easy to digest (unlike mine <G>), and he covers all the key
points about everything. You'll probably discover at least a half-dozen
little features in CV that you didn't previously know about by doing this. :-)

Hope this helps,
Rob
