Off Stage and On Stage

I must be missing something but when a scene script starts with NPCs off stage, I can't find any option to move those characters on stage. I also can't find an option to transition them to "Out of Action." How do you control the stage placement of characters?
 
Click on the character's picture and you will get a drop-down that lets you change the character's stage placement among other things.
 
Thanks. I would have never found that, as the picture isn't a menu in (any?) other lists of PCs/NPCs. Lone Wolf, a downward arrow or some other visual indicator when something functions as a menu would help!
