No boon companion feat/blank ranger list

Boon Companion is not available in my list of Feats. At the beginning of this tread, in 2005, the feat wasn't available. But my understanding is that it is now. Is there a reason I'm not seeing it? Thank you for the help.

The feat is in Seekers of Secrets. A) Did you purchase the package that includes this book? B) If you did do you have the source checked marked in your Configure Your Hero window (Character->Configure Hero...). Then it will be under the "Campaign Setting" section.

Thank you! No, I did not purchase that package. It would appear as though I can get it for $4.99, so perhaps I'll do that.

Out of curiosity, how would anyone ever know this without having to post on this forum?

Here is the Hero Lab - Pathfinder page of our website: http://wolflair.com/index.php?context=hero_lab&page=pathfinder_roleplaying_game, which describes what is included, and what is available for purchase.

Also, when you open the Pathfinder files within Hero Lab, the following text appears, under the Pathfinder logo:

Pathfinder Bestiary 2, Player Companion, Campaign Setting & Advanced Player's Guide supplements now available!
Supplement packages for many Pathfinder RPG supplements are now available! You can add them to your license by choosing "Purchase Data Package" from the "License" menu.
For details on using Hero Lab, please refer to the Tutorial and/or User Manual documentation that will be found with Hero Lab under the Start menu. There is one manual covering basic features of Hero Lab and another with specifics for the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game.
New material is being added to these data files on a regular basis. We strongly recommend that you use the updates mechanism to keep your copy of Hero Lab, and your data files, up to date.
If you have questions or comments about Hero Lab, our public discussion forums can be found here: http://forums.wolflair.com/

So that we can try to make this more obvious, to make sure our users aren't missing this information, where would you expect to see information about the packages that are available?

Thank you for the reply and the additional information. It would appear as though there are a lot of additional packages and no where on those two pages did I see any mention of the feat Boon Companion. From http://www.d20pfsrd.com/feats/general-feats/boon-companion I can now see that it says "Pathfinder Chronicles: Seekers of Secrets" so I suppose that I could have worked back from there, but it is all a bit confusing. Anyway, I'm going to purchase the additional package now.

I can't get it to work. I purchased the Seekers package, activated the license, checked the box under "Configure Hero..." and then added the Boon Companion Feat. All this seemed to work great. I then selected "Ranger" from the Boon Companion dropdown.

The level of my animal companion, however, did not change. I'm a 7th level Ranger and my wolf was 4th level prior to taking the feat, so shouldn't the level of the companion now go to 7th? A clicked on the companion and there was nothing to adjust. Is there something I need to do to make this work?

There are many different people saying many different things in many different post and on the Paizo forum. It would be great if you could simply say what you put in the code. Thank you.

Until there is an official answer from Paizo, I'm leaving it at a strict interpretation of the ability's text - the boon companion feat does not add anything to a single classed ranger.

Thank you for the link. I'm afraid I have a lot to do before Gen Con, but I'll try to slip this fix in sometime.

The Boon Companion feat isn't working for my Cleric with the Animal Domain (he gets an animal companion). Was this feat ever fixed? Just curious...

Thanks
Chris
