Next WoD update?

Any idea when the next World of Darkness update will be, and if it will include stuff from the Armory Reloaded?

I'm way behind on stuff, so I honestly haven't even looked at Armory Reloaded. Is there a specific subset of material that will get you by in the short term if I add it? I also need to get a bunch of Changeling stuff added, plus all the various requests everyone has posted.

We're expecting to release V3.6 of Hero Lab in a week or two. I'm expecting that we'll be releasing the new WoD files at the same time, which means I only have a few days of actual time to work on the WoD files during that span. Consequently, I won't be able to get everything in that I'd like and need to prioritize stuff. If you guys can prioritize things for me, that's great. Otherwise, I'll have to take my best guess. :-)

The main thing I was looking for from the Armory Reloaded was the fighting style "Langschwert (pg. 83).

You seem to have a lot on your plate though! Good luck on getting as much done as possible, once again thanks for all the hard work!

I haven't looked at that particular fighting style, but most fighting styles are pretty straightforward to implement via the Editor. You simply need to define each dot level as a "merit level" and then tie it all together with the actual merit itself. There are numerous examples of this with other fighting styles that you can model your approach after (and potentially just copy in the Editor). So you might consider giving it a try yourself if you really need that one merit soon.

As far as this goes, how will my editing/adding to the file effect updates?

The only problem that could arise from you adding your own content is if you use the exact same unique ids for your content that gets added to the official data files. Then there would be a conflict. So as long as you use unique ids that have a different form than the official ids, you'll be completely safe. For example, the ids for all merits start with a lowercase "m" prefix and merit levels start with "mx". If you used something different, you should be fine.

Assuming that the ids are different, the worst that would happen is that there would be two separate merits with the same name in the selection list. One would be your content and the other would be the one added to the core WoD data files. At that point, you could either tweak the name of your merit slightly to distinguish it or just leave it be. The two would co-exist fine.

Let me know if this isn't clear and I'll try to explain it better.

I think that makes sense, but I need to try it out first... Once again Rob, you are SUPER helpful and I am amazed at how fast you get back to us! Kudos on the great customer service!

I'm adding the Lords of Summer content, since that seemed of highest interest to everyone, but that's the only new Changeling book. Is there something in particular you want added? If so, I can try to get that added as well.

Please note that I'm working 80+ hours per week on everything here, and there still aren't enough hours to get everything done. So I'm focusing on the things that people specifically ask for first. :-)

Can you give us an update on werewolf? The last time I asked about this was in 2007, so I think I've been pretty patient so far...

As I said before
1. Second Sight
2. Armory II
3. Innocents
4. Dogs of War

This gives the base for everything else.

Second site I'd agree with, the other three are just 'extra' that completely change the core rules in certain ways.

Agreed. As much as I love the extra merits in Armory two and use them, I would probably rather see the rest of the changling books first. And this is just personal oppinion but I'd much rather see Werewolf core rules before Second Sight, Innocents, or Dogs of war. But I have faith they will all get added eventually!
