new Warriors of Chaos

As a note, the guy who was working on the WoC datafile apparently had it done a couple weeks ago and submitted it to whoever combines the various files into one and is very frustrated that it hasn't been put up yet.

If there's someone with a finished file we'd love to hear from them. I'm sure we could create a completed file and put it onto Rapidshare as a temporary solution.

Howdy....as you I have been frustrated with the lack of WHF support from the volunteer community. I was a Maintainer for the 40K aspect but dropped that. Though I do my own maintenance and have some custom files.

As for WHF I held off because it was well supported by a couple individuals and out of respect for the current maintainer, that and I don't completely understand how it was originally setup. With AB there are 40 different ways to do the same thing. HA!

That said in order to get it loaded on the datarus site you have to contact LW. They will provide the user log in. One stumble might be that they will need to confirm that you now do it for WHF instead of previous individuals.

I still have such connections so if you want send me the files and I can be the consigliere for now and get the new maintainer/maintainers set up with an account. This is not unlike what happened to 40K when they switched to 3.x the maintainer group left and a new one stepped in. LW set them up with all the needed stuff. It can happen again. I suggest you organize somehow and start it up as its apparent the original editor is either MIA or stopped doing it.

I should add that there is a reason why its volunteer supported. IIRC its to separate LW from any licensing issues with GW.

Did you get to talk to the creator of the other WoC files today? It is wednesday, and I have not had any time to work on anything. I just started a DirectX programming class last week and that is taking most of my time.

I have been working hard on my programming directX9 class for the last week and have not had time to work on anything. Have you made contact and figured out what is going on with the files lordgoober? Has anyone been working on anything? If we do not hear back by Saturday, I think we should continue working on the files available to us.

I've been tring ... but it is not as easy as it seemed ... I can't thing to work right ... is there a tutorial out there???

This would be a lot easier if we just had to update an existing race, but trying to split it out from an old race is more dificult.

not to cause any gripes but is the main reason for the delay on the WoC file due to the split from the other army books? or has real life reered its ugly head upon the writers?

i've had a go at editing the chaos file and managed to do afew things but I really don't understand the program. can any1 help?

I have given up. people who have files dont post them. their is hardly any communications.

i AM JUST GONNA WAIT TILL MARCH WHEN ARMY ROSTER WILL BE BACK UP

The Army Builder owners could EASILY fix this problem with the Data Files if they really wanted to. I'm not going to comment on how - they know how.

This revolving door of good intentions and partial efforts on all your behalfs are appreciated - but this situation is pathetic.
