Well, that is not exactly true. I have messed around with ABC in the
past, but not a lot and only to create new units for existing armies.

Here is my question. How do you create new game system files and such?
As far as I can discern it is not possible to create them with ABC. Do
I need other software or just plain old knowhow and a text editor? :P

Well, any help that anyone can offer me would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Joshua Fisher

You have to create your datadef file from scratch with a text editor.
then, you can use abdef tool to build the ABCreator loadable base for
your army. Once you create and build this file, you may use ABC to
create the units, options... for you game system.

you will find more infos on how write the datadef file on the Construct
kit documentation (directory c:/Armybuilder/docs)

Thanks for the help. For some reason the Construction Kit
documentation did not install in my docs folder, However they were
available in pdf form on the cd so I found them after all. Very
informative. Certainly it should be fun learning how to create datadef
files. Look forward to being semi active here on this group.

Depending on what version of the CD you have, you might have out-dated Kit
docs on the CD. To obtain the Construction Kit, you need to install it
separately from AB. You'll find it listed in the Updates list within AB, so
I recommend grabbing it that way and installing it. Then you'll have the
latest docs.
