New Magic Item/Archetypes Not Available After Purchase

I just bought the Ultimate Combat and Ultimate Equipment packs. If I start a new character, I can pull up new items under Magic. I can also access some archetypes. However, if I load my old, pre-purchase character file, these are not available. It's as if the old character file doesn't have access to the Ultimate packs. Do I have to do something to update/import my old character saved file?

Go to Character -> Configure Hero, and that will bring up a window. On the right side, there are a series of sources to choose from. Enable the new books on your old character.
