Mythic Beyond Morality makes alignment show up in red

I noticed this just recently but Beyond Morality in the mythic abilities makes your alignment show up in red which normally indicates a validation error. I've reported this as a bug but I just wanted to mention this here in case its confusing anyone else as I just spent half an hour tracking down what was causing this as it doesn't show up in validation errors just the red text on alignment.

Good show spotting and bug-reporting this. Not a problem I'll ever have since I banned that power in my game (it raises LOTS of questions), but it could "just" be one of the many mythic things broken by 10.0.

I bet the idea is that its expecting you to remove your alignment. The issue is once an alignment is taken in HL you have no way to become unaligned (ie to un-select an alignment). :(

Except that's not how it works. You still have an alignement its just that you can ignore any alignment restrictions for taking things. So a chaotic good person could become a monk even though they're normally lawful only or wield an item that normally gives penalties to a non-evil being. However they would still be chaotic good and more concerned with helping than the letter of the law as it were.

I've always wondered what "BeyondMora" meant in the alignment section of the editor when selecting the default alignment for races.

Which is mostly scripted by a) asking the user to remove the alignment or b) delete the alignment tags on the hero.

In this case its setting a special Tag, Andrew just mentioned, on the hero which is most likely confusing a very old validation script that does not understand it.

I was making a guess about the error HL was showing. I was not actually saying "how" the ability actually worked.

Either way did you report this bug to LW yet?
