More information on sync issues

Hi there!

Quick suggestion here:
It would be helpful upon sync a log can optionally presented which shows:
a) when the last change was made
b) what topics are conflicting
c) when the realm was last saved

There is already a reveal history, I would suggest to add a (limited) history of changes that show adding / modification / removal of topics and it's date.

Then it is easier to resolve conflicts in case internet was down and the next synch is done later.

+1 to this one - would probably help when you encounter the "you are already logged in on another machine..."

It has already been stated that they are considering partial merge-conflict resolution as a future product enhancement. I assume that the implementation of this would involve recording some of your suggested items of information.

Are you currently having to discard all changes on one of your machines, resyncing down the entire realm, and then adding back in the changes that you can remember?

No, not really (for me at least). I only use two different machines and I can (so far) remember, why the "already logged in" appears and normally I just go ahead, kicking the old machine off and taking over - with no problems.

Something that may not be that difficult to do :

keep either one version, remote or local but add a group "conflicts" and put all topics in conflict in this group.

The merge would be done manually by the user. Simply delete de group if no merge is required.
