Ok, I found the issue and I am not sure how to fix it. All the classes are running off the same class ability. I gave the classes a +1 AC bonus at a certain level. Works fine until you take the prestige class at a later level and then it adds all the bonuses up from 1st level on up.

Let me look around for something similar and see what I can find. Maybe change the prestige AC bonus to a different type of bonus that will not stack or something.

Ok I think this will work: I found this:

Humm,

Doesn't appear to work. I am using 4 levels of dedicated hero, and 3 levels of Field Scientist.

I sent you a detailed Private Message about what I did so as not to spam the board with multiple reports. I'll keep checking back to private messages, and play test it from my end.

I added a zip file here with everything I am working on at the moment. I want to get any bugs before it goes in the auto-updater.

See if it helps and I'll keep looking.

Ok, quick fix until I can go through each class and assign separate class abilities.

The MSRD base classes, (as well as the Modern Hero base class), share the same class abilities (AC bonus and Fame bonus) and all the prestige classes share a different class ability AC bonus and Fame bonus.

So it should work fine as long as you have only one base class and one prestige class.

Here is the most recent files for the new HL update. This is just a "pre-update", just to fix the load errors for the recent HL update.

We should have a big update this month thanks to Humadalliance, (here on the HL forums). He is a computer coder, so you should have a better update than what I can do. Anyways, he is doing it in his free time from work, but he says it should be ready around Feb.

Game Room Creations has transferred ownership of The Modern Path game line to Fantastic Gallery.

ShadowChemosh has agreed to host the Modern Path files once our website goes down at the end of this month.

I'll be checking in form time to time, but Humadalliance and ShadowChemosh might be able to give a quicker response if there is an error in the future.

I am trying to remove Modern Heroes from Hero Labs so I can use the iPad version, but I get this error when loading some of my Characters

Ok, "I think" if the character is saved with a 3pp user file and you move it to something else that doesn't have that user file, you will get those errors.

Again "I think" if you save the character without the user files installed and then move it, it will be ok.

The above appears to be "conditions" and if so they are attached to all characters when saved if the Modern package was installed. To remove them you load the character in Windows/Mac without the Modern Package installed and dirty the profile. To dirty means to put a space in the character name or up/down a skill rank. Anything that triggers HL to think the profile was changed. Then save the profile again.

I assume also messages about missing "Sources" (Sources are the Books or Options you check mark in Configure Your Hero window) will happen also with the Modern Package removed. So to remove those kind of messages you have to go to "Portfolio->Strip Missing Sources" and then save the .por. Then send back to the iPad and you should be good.
 
I created a new .hl file from the files you posted Frodie and set it to be v4.0. I put this up on the Community Servers for download under the name of "d20pfsrd - Modern Path (v4.0)". So if you have the community servers setup it should prompt you to download.

Otherwise click THIS link from the iPad using Safari and it should download and prompt you to open using the HL app.

Installing either of these on the iPad will overwrite 3.99 and fix the issues. I just tested it and it worked fine on my iPad.
 
Hey Everyone,

Just wanted to give everyone a heads up before the big update I am working on:

Large update coming soon! Prior to the update I will be posting a changelog on here due to some of the more heavy bug fixes causing current portfolios to reset saved characters. I recommend everyone print off any characters / npcs you have made that use Modern Path prior to the update just incase.

Also, if you have gotten an error saying there is a duplicate record encountered on line 957, here is the fix solution:

Error:
File: SGG_Sensitive.user (line 957) Duplicate Record Encountered ('arMPSensit')

Delete the file: PFRPG_Modern_Path_FG_Sensitive.user

This will fix the problem until we can solve it with the next update.

I'd really appreciate it if you could fix the arMPSensit issue as soon as possible. We've just gotten our fourth bug report on this issue through our bug tracking system.
 
Alrighty,

Wanted to give everyone an update about The Modern Path.

After working on the files for the last year, I am getting close to a massive update of The Modern Path Datasets for Pathfinder.

While this release wont have much in the way of new content, its in preparation for an expansion down the road.

Several major bugs have been addressed:

- Armor Class Bug (Multiclassing not showing the proper ACs)
- Fame Bug (Same as above)
- Weapon Kickbacks and Enhanced (Magical) weapons not showing proper attack bonuses
- Many broken Feats and Talents
- VCB and Wealth Traits have been fixed to stop displaying errors upon loading.

This update also standardizes all Feats and Talents so their descriptions display the most relevant information first, as well as adding tooltips to the printouts displaying situational bonuses under their appropriate category. (Situational +4 to perception listed under the Perception skill, or Track feat listed under the Survival skill.)

I have a changelog about a page long currently.

Any suggestions or requests for changes would be great to hear now before the release! With the amount of bug fixes there will be, it will cause some issues with existing non-Modern Hero characters (Such as Dedicated Hero base class or Soldier Prestige Class) when its released.

After version 5.0 goes live, I'll be working towards installing all Future MSRD Classes, as well as pushing out some new content that our previous contributors have donated to the cause!
