Er, what Bob said. Army Builder does stuff that is specifically targeted at
the dynamics of miniatures games, which is WAY outside the realms of what
Card Vault can do. And vice versa. Except for games likes MK/HC/MW, which
have INCREDIBLY simplistic army construction rules, CV won't do squat for
miniatures.
The inventory mechanism within CV is something I'd love to add to AB in a
future release, but it's vastly more difficult with games like 40K. For
example, in 40K, the same model can be used in numerous different units,
and the USER needs to be able to determine which units a model can go into
since some folks are purists (i.e. WYSISYG) and some are not (i.e. a marine
is a marine, regardless of weapons on the model). And that's just using the
stock SKUs from GW. Now consider situations like custom modifications to
models, and the smoke starts pouring out the ears.
So, it's definitely something I'm constantly thinking about how to solve,
but it's NOT something that I've figured out a clean solution to.
Thanks, Rob
