Metamagic'd spells of Staffs

Is there a way for a spell that is selected via the Castable Spells or Staff Spells to be metamagic'd?

For instance, in the description for the Staff of Power, the Fireball is Heightened, but I am not recognizing a specific tag or other bit that calls that out.

FWIIW, I am asking about this for purposes of an artifact level staff.

When the spell is bootstrapped to the staff, it has it's livename set to a non-default string, and the sDC field is set to a value equal to the difference between the old and new spell level.
