Metamagic issue on Ipad app

My 4th level sorcerer took the Extend Spell feat. I decided to add an Extended Mage Armor to my spell list. This makes the 1st level spell to take a 2nd level spell slot. The extended spell shows up on the 2nd level list but when I check it off as used the total number of 2nd level spells remains the same rather than subtract one as with regular spells. Also, I added an extended Enlarge Person spell as well with the same issue I had with the Extended Mage Armor, but the app also added an extra and greyed out 'Enlarge Person (1)' entry on the the 1st level spell list. Is this a bug in the app or am I doing something wrong when adding Metamagic spells?
