me and v1.1

Okay, I did everything you said, and none of it worked. I then tried several other things and none of them worked. I then uninstalled CV, deleted anything CV still on my system, and rebooted. I then installed v1.1 for like the fourth or fifth time now, and dled the MK files, and everything seems to work now.

That is, except for one thing. I'm not sure if this is another bug I've magically created, or something CV is supposed to do I just don't like, so let me know either way and help me out if you can.
Whenever I add a model to inventory, the excess column for that model goes up one. If I click it back down to zero, the target column goes up by one. If I click it back down to zero, the excess column goes back up. I'm not sure what the reasoning is behind this, but is there some way to have it not automatically adjust any of those columns when I add a model/card to inventory? I'd like to use the excess, acquire, and target columns for some things, but I'd prefer to set them up myself, and only for certain models/cards.

I'll let you know if I run into any problems from here on out.

I think this is all related to the target column. The point is that
if you leave the column in it's default state, you are not saying "I
don't care how many I need" you are saying "I nedd, and want, zero of
this". Therefore, as soon as you add one, it is already excess.

That's why, since I'm just starting to add my L5R collection to CV,
as soon as I downloaded 1.1 I began working out exactly how many I
wanted of each, and updating the target values. Only then I started
adding my actual cards.

I guess it would make more sense to create a "don't care" value for
the target, so basically all you add would be own, and never excess,
and make that "don't care" value the default.

That is done by deselecting the Target Is Fixed option under Settings.

Then the Target becomes floating, and as you adjust Owned, Excess, and
Acquire, teh Target changes.

And you can hide the Target column.

I unchecked that setting, and now it just automatically increases Target instead of Excess. I want to be able to increase the number of a fig/card I own without changing any of the other values. I want to be able to do it now.

One or more of them will change.

If you don;t care how many you own, and you want to be able to directly
control all your Owned, Excess, and Acquire, then Target is irrelevant for
you. Just slot that column for Hidden and don't worry about it.

If you have a specific amount that you want to own, say a play set, then
having a fixed target makes more sense.

Bizarre! Something sure got hosed up on your system, but I have no idea
what. You're the only person that has run into any problems like this with
the V1.1 update, so something sure didn't agree with your system, but I
don't think CV was the sole source of the problem (if at all).

That's a great idea! It's been added to the todo list.

And this one MIGHT be simple enough to integrate into the current structure
that it can be slipped in before a major feature update. I'll have to
assess this one further, so no promises, but it's a definite possibility. :-)
