Map Labels vs. Pins?

Are Pins the only way to label uploaded maps in RW?

I like the pins, but would like to be able to label regions on my maps (in addition to pins)

Pins are currently the only way to label smart images. There are other mechanisms on our todo list as well, but those still need to be implemented. I recommend posting about this in the Feature Requests forum so that your request can be noted and other users can chime in if they feel the same way.
