Magical Knack?

It increases spellcaster level right? so would that not mean that if I were a lvl 3 sorcercer/ lvl 2 rogue that makes a caster lvl 5 sorcercer? If that is correct then shouldn't I get the spells for 5th lvl sorcercer hero lab isn't automatically doing this just wanted to check to make sure i've been using the trait right or if its the software

I believe the +2 caster level is supposed to apply only to variable spell effects and not to number of spells per day or available known spells. So the character in question should cast his available level 3 spells as if he were level 5.

If you note HL is changing the Caster Level entry on the left side of the sorcerer tab properly when you select this trait.

ValaraukarU you are correct sir magical knack dose not give more spells. But it dose give up to a +2 to concentration checks up to a +2 to SR checks and your spells cast up to 2 caster levels higher. :) Up to your max hit dice so a 5th level Wizard/ 1st level fighter would cast a 6D6 fire ball and if he was a 2nd level or higher he would cast a 7D6 fire ball.
