Looking for feedback on strategy for custom user file

I'm beating my head to a pulp trying to figure out why my file is misbehaving, my free time is becoming scarcer and am at a point where I'm at wits end. :o

I've managed to get the tool to do a lot of things I couldn't in the beginning, and though I took snapshots of it's evolving content, I have been unable to pin down where & why the misbehaving is occurring to correct it. Additionally, my searches have all been in vain, probably because I'm not using the correct terms that would help me figure out what's going on.

The issue is my custom arcane powers are not correctly deducting points as a user chooses to purchase one. Is there a troubleshooting sequence someone would care to list to help me figure out the reason behind this?
 
OK, for the rest of you...

Remember to add a Tracker for the new Arcane Background, they all get their own now.
And don't apply Arcane tags to the Powers.
