Loading a spell into a higher level slot

Is there a way to load a spell into a higher level slot. I want to use a 4th level spell slot to hold a 3rd level spell. Any ideas how to make the software do this? Thanks.
 
Use an adjustment to subtract a 4th level spell slot from the class, then use another adjustment to add a 3rd level slot.
