Limited Options with new Encounter Builder

I just updated Hero Lab to check out the encounter builder. It seems rather limited, so I wonder if I am missing some data files. I only have 375 potential "monsters" with most of the entries just being NPCs of various levels and classes. Many standard creatures , such as dragons and spiders, are missing.

Can someone please point me in the right direction? There has to be more than this. Do I need to download a files, or update some data?

Monsters were not created for the d20 system unfortunately. All that work went to Pathfinder when the 3.5 was no longer supported. I suggest looking into the community files for this.

I think, but I'm only guessing, you'll have to convert the community bestiary creatures into stock portfolios for it to work correctly.

That means creating a monster race por then saving it as a stock file. As there are a lot of monster races that's a huge amount of work.
But it isn't impossible just time consuming.

Thank you for the replies. I'll make do with the stock encounters. All I really need is a way to track damage and initiative. A generic level 5 fighter will work just as well for a lesser demon. With a new edition of D&D coming, it's not worth it to do too much work now, beyond world-building.

They aren't supporting 3.5 anymore, like NEVER making updates to it?

I've tried making .stock files but they don't seem to do anything. I cant import from custom made ones the same way I can with the NPC ones which reduces their usefulness in my eyes considerably.

It only reads stock files in herolab\data\d20. Did you put your new stock files in to that folder location?
