Alright, let me get this straight; I have a perfectly functional
army builder demo. I go out and order the real version, but it
needs 3.0 to run. Here's the problem, Warhammer (The files I need)
aren't available. So I just spent fourty dollars to disable my army
builder?

How do I return it?

1) the demo is just to get you to buy
2) the warhammer (fantasy) files are out
(http://www.wolflair.com/rightframe.php?context=army_builder&page=supplemental_downloads)
3) you're version of 2.x still works (in fact, the installer says something
about them running concurrently on a system)
4) Happy Holidays!

We've been saying for months that we'll be discontinuing online sales of
V2.x when V3.0 is released. And we've also been saying that all purchases
of V2.x after May 1st this year would receive a FREE upgrade. Maybe you
missed them?

I don't see an order matching the name on your post, so I don't know
whether you actually purchased V2.x or V3.0. If you purchased V2.x from us
online, you should be receiving your V3.0 license sometime this week, at
which point you'll have both versions available. If you just purchased V3.0
today, send us your order information and let us know you need V2.x as well
at support@wolflair.com. We'll then get a V2.x license issued to you.

As Trent points out, both V2.x and V3.0 will happily co-exist on the same
computer. This way, you can keep using V2.x for game systems that have not
yet been released for V3.0.

If the above information doesn't answer your concerns, then I misunderstood
the problem. If so, please send an email to support@wolflair.com that
outlines the problem in more detail and we'll do our best to get things
sorted out for you.

Thanks, Rob

I'm curious as to whether or not either of you actually read my post
before responding to it.

I bought 2.1 and they said I had to upgrade it to run it, since it
wasn't working. So, I updated to 3.0, had the ID number that they
sent me in the CD I bought. This replaced my old version. Now,
since Warhammer 40K is not out yet for 3.0, I lost all ability to
run even the demo for 40K. I wasted money on your product, since
all I really got was the disabling of my current army builder
program.

Both versions should work together as long as you don't install in to
the same directory. As regards the upgrade you need to upgrade the AB2.1
to AB2.2c and you will be able to run the existing 40K files.

When you are online load up AB2.1 and select the New Updates, top right
hand corner of AB. Scroll down in the list and you will see AB2.2c,
dated 19 September 2001, down load and install as instructed.

You can then run the existing 40K files until the V3 versions are
available.

Cheers

Well you could just (I don't know here's a thaught) install AB Ver2 and use
it for 40k and quit being so impatient. The makers of Army Builder don't
make the Data files. They are made by fans of the game and are done so on
their free time. Just install 2.1 and use it and when the ver 3 files come
out you can quit complaining. It's extremely simple if you just actually
think about it for a second.

However, my army builder doesn't work at 2.1. It tells me that in
order to run, I need to update to 3.0 and then it immediatly shuts
down. All I can do is use the demo version again and use my new army
builder CD as a decritive ornament.

Please download and install army builder 2.2c from the following link:

http://www.lonewolfdevel.com/submit/get_product.asp?product=AB2

Install it over Army Builder 2.1 and try using your data files with it. It
should all work properly after that; if not, please post information to
this group and we'll be happy to help.

Hope this helps,
