Okay first of all I _do_ happen to have legal copy of army builder.
Problem is I would like to use it on several machine and carrying the
cd is somewhat annoying(especially as I have habit of breaking cd's
up on my travels. Not that I intend but it happens!) so was wondering
would it be legal to make copies of cd's to keep one on say my home
and other on my parent's house where second computer I would like to
use AB? What about cracks? Would it be legally wrong to crack my own
army builders to avoid using my army builder cd?

And I repeat. I DO have legaly bought army builder cd so it's not
like I'm trying to get away from paying money for it...

Ok, we get it! ;)

You are, in all countries, allowed to legally create ONE copy of any
commercial media you own, as long as you class it as a backup and
don't let anyone else use it.

A crack would make it a lot easier, but they're illegal, coming
under "Altering of commercial software" or something like that

check your AB Liscence (I'm pretty sure I spelt that wrong), if it's
a single-site liscence, then you can kiss all this speculation
goodbye, 'cos it can only be on a single PC at a time

In fact, the registration (for the non-cd version, at least) is tied to
an OS serial number, and you _can't_ use it as a registered copy on
more than one machine.

I have no experience with the CD version, so I can't speak to that...

I do know that when you get the CD version they say it's ok to use on different machines. I have heard the "make one copy" thing before as well, so that should be fine.
