More mistaken factoins in the L5R file. Gee, who'da thunk I'd be the
one to find those? From the looks of the mistakes, I'm assuming that
some of these were caused by the new automation program, so I'm
including quotes from the card text that may have mislead the
program.
Unless otherwise noted, that's what quotes are from. When I gave
the
hard and fast faction rules, I didn't forsee this would happen.

Leave Hitomi Kazaq the way he is, trying to resolve that hurts my
head.

I'm not sure if it means anything to you Rob, but these are older
cards. Jade was the only base set they did a lot of factoin
shuffling, and Jeff Alexander would probably fall on his sword before
letting another card like Toturi (Exp2) see print again.

This is the reason I did this all by hand. The number of exceptions to rules,
and the complexity of the parser to get this all right is mind-boggling. It was
easier to generate trait lists by hand!

If it makes you feel any better, a text parser will probably work
wonders with the more evolved and streamlined Warlord CCG.

I'll still find something to nitpick about, though. ;)

Also, don't work too hard to adapt the parser to munch some of the
more esoteric older examples. Just do them by hand, since Gold the
cards have been much more streamlined, and this will only improve in
Diamond.

Individually, it was definitely easier each release to do all the work by
hand. However, all that time piled up and finally caught up with you,
making it impractical to keep investing the significant chunk of time with
each new release. As long as you were driving the data files, it was
entirely your call on how to manage them. Once you needed to relinquish
them due to time constraints, I knew that *I* would never be able to invest
the time every release, so the automated converter was necessary. :-)

It's been a lot of work, but the converter is actually doing a pretty good
job now, especially considering all the insanity and inconsistencies within
L5R "speak". And I'm logging all the problem reports that folks are
posting, so the converter will improve in the next release of the data
files. The converter even has the means to insert manual
overrides/corrections to the automated data, so the bugs can either be
corrected within the converter or simply "patched", as necessary.

For the moment, I'm focused on finishing up the V1.3 release and dealing
with some matters in my personal life that make it impossible for me to
work my usual 100 hours per week. I'll get the L5R files updated as soon as
things stabilize a bit on this end (hopefully next week).

Thanks, Rob
