Wasn't having this error before, but after booting up HeroLab today, every change I make triggers this error message:

Any ideas what it is, or how to fix it?

It looks like a couple of the custom items didn't take to my livename changes well. It probably is from one of those (Custom Page of Spell Knowledge, Custom Riffle Scroll, Custom Spell Tattoo, Legendary Item).

I've got it fixed for the next release for each of those. If your problem is coming from a different item, please tell me so I can fix that too.

Unfortunately, the only workaround for this at the moment is to delete the offending item, then add it back after the release fixes the issue, or ignore the persistant error popups.

Good news is, we're considering putting out a bugfix release for this and another vexing error pretty soon.
