Issue with d20 Priest

I downloaded the Priest class from d20 and found a problem. I selected the Extra Channel feat and the feat is listed but the 2 channels don't show up on the channel per day total. Anyone else come across this problem and can offer a solution? I tried contacting d20 but the site says to forward the problem to Lone Wolf's forums.

The pathfinder and d20 systems are different enough that things from one generally don't work in the other. If you tried loading a d20 class in the pathfinder system you'd have lots more errors than that I think. Did you perhaps post this in the wrong forum?

Regardless, "Priest" isn't a class that is part of the core program that I know of, so it must be a fan creation. You'd want to contact the creator for any fixes, or try and work them out yourself. The forum community is often quite helpful.

He means the Tome of Secret Pathfinder Priest class that is on d20pfsrd repository.

Sorry mmartin7260 I did get your email but have not had time to look into the issue yet. My guess without looking is that the person who made the class didn't know to use the Generic Channel Energy ability and instead made there own. So the standard feats in HL won't see the class as having the ability.

Its almost the weekend and I will have time too look at it then.

I created that file a while ago while I was still learning how to use HL. I don't even remember my thought process.

I have made a change for the Priest class to use the generic "xChannel" ability instead of a custom one. This is what all feats and stuff look for.

This means I had to change one of the "bootstrapped" Things on the class. I am 99% sure this means HL will give you an error when you open up a .por file for this class when using this new version. I am also 99% sure you can simply click through it.

On your opened character file make any change to your character, increase a skill and then put the skill back, and then re-save your character. After that the error should no longer appear.

Update Note:

v1.1 - Tim Shadow October 30, 2011
-Changed the Channel Energy ability to use "xChannel" so feats and other abilities would see the class having Channel Energy. This allows the Priest class to actually take feats like "Alignment Channel" without getting an error.

Re-download the PFRPG_ToS_Priest.user file from d20pfsrd under the "Third Party Publishers" folder.

Hope that helps.

That change did fix the Extra Channel problem. Thanks for that.

However, there is now an issue with hit points and channel points. The Priest class has d6 for hit points and d8 for channeling. These are showing in HL as d8 for HP and d6 for channeling in the Priest class. These are the values for the Cleric class and not the Priest. Sorry for being such a pest about this, guys. Thanks for any help you can offer.

That did the trick! Thanks for fixing that.

There is one other problems that I noticed. The Priest class has d6 for HD and d8 for channeling. The HL sheet shows the Cleric's stats of d8 for HD and d6 for channeling. When you have the chance, could you look into that? Thanks and sorry for being such a pest.
