Improved Familiar Not Reducing The Number of Required Abilities

I’m not sure if this is an operator error. I have a level 6 with with Familiar Master Dedication. I have 7 Master/Familiar abilities available. I picked up the feat Improved Familiar which reduces the number of required skills by 2. If I change the ancestry of my familiar to Fey Dragonette (specific familiar that costs 6 skills) it reports that I’ve selected 7/7 Master/Familiar abilities. My understanding is that I should be at 5/7. Is there something I doing wrong or do I need just pick 2 extra abilities and then suppress the error condition? Thanks!
