Importing legacy data into PF

Grey Mage

Well-known member
I searched but couldn't find anything on how I would go about importing 'legacy' data (d20 stuff) that is already in HL over to my PF install.

As an example, if I have several spells from the WotC Spell Compendium already on the d20 side of HL is there a simple (easy) way to export and then reimport onto the PF side of HL.

Thanks in advace

Most things will have to be rebuilt inside the Pathfinder Editor from scratch. Very VERY few things will just transfer over. HL d20 and HL Pathfinder software ARE NOT the same thing. I know everyone wants this to be true but we are dealing with software here not Rule mechanics written down on paper.

Their are several posts just this week with me explaining this in more detail HERE and HERE.

In this case the whole Spell Compendium has been moved over to Pathfinder. Though you would still have to go through and update the spells to any of the new classes if you think they should get them. Its located on Cheeseweasel.net site. :)

Spell Compendium throwing an error when it loads

Shadow,

I downloaded the SC file from the CheeseWeasel site and it has everything I need BUT... it is throwing an error when it compiles while loading.

Hero Lab was forced to stop compilation after the following errors were detected:

File: PFRPG_SpellCompendium.user (line 39043) - Thing - Duplicate record encountered ('cdDragon')
File: PFRPG_SpellCompendium.user (line 39055) - Thing - Duplicate record encountered ('cdMoon')

Any thoughts?

Those are cleric domains; domains with the same name probably exist in Pathfinder. I'd recommend opening the Spell Compendium .user file in the editor, and simply deleting the 2 domains, or giving them a new Unique ID (and maybe renaming them too to avoid any confusion)
