Identifying a field

Hopefully this is an easy question.

What field specifies the name of the weapon on the Weapons tab? Is it a derived field that I can add to?

Thanks!

You can edit the 'name' of a magic/custom/MW weapon directly on the weapons tab.
Having given something a new name, I looked at Data File Debugging > Info Windows. I'm getting actName (Activation Name) and trkBaseNm (Name without usage details) - this might be what you want. They only seem to be active if you customised the name.

Thanks for the assist Dami. Unfortunately, neither of those fields modified the weapon name. I decided to place the added weapon ability through the #extradamage macro. It puts the ability in the wrong place, format-wise, but at least it appears on the weapons tab now. I appreciate your help!

If you weren't already aware, when "enable data file debugging" ticked, you can right-click on any text in HLC and it will give a popup menu showing various options. Here you can see what fields/values/tags are relevant to the item you're interested in.

There's not a different answer for weapons - they use the same livename field that almost everything else does for when you want to change the name.
