I added a custom adjustment and can't delete it

I made a custom adjustment, to represent Holy Nimbus. It all works great, except that it has no way to remove it from the character (no 'X'). This means that I can't make any changes to it, since HL can't delete it from the character. Any ideas?

On top of what Mathias said you would now have to do a "CTRL-R" to reload the whole game system. This is needed when you have bootstrapped something to the Hero.

I didn't bootstrap it. I made an adjustment, and then added it the normal way. When I use the same code with a different id, it has an X. I think my character is corrupted somehow.

Did you originally have a different "List to show on?" setting than what it has now? (Perhaps it was originally blank, and now you're setting something in that option)?

If so, you should be able to get the delete button back by resetting "List to Show On?" to whatever it was back when you added this adjustment. Then, it will show up in the same table it was added in, and have a delete button. Delete it from your character and save that character. Then, put the setting back to what you want it to be, and add a new copy of that adjustment to the character from the proper table.

When you add something to a character in Hero Lab, it records which table it was added on. That way, a language can have different behaviors based on which table it was added from - it can be a language gained from high INT on the Background tab, or a language gained from linguistics ranks on the Personal tab.

They can only be deleted from the table they were added on. Here's an example of how it could be confusing if we did allow them to be deleted from elsewhere:

Create a 1st level human fighter, and select a fighter bonus feat on the fighter tab. Then, on the feats tab, add 2 other feats. Later in the character creation process, change your mind, and delete one of your feats on the feats tab - it happened to have been the one you added as a fighter bonus feats. Now, you know you just deleted something, but the table you're looking at says 2/2 feats selected, and will give you an error message if you replace that feat you just deleted with a different feat.
