How to stop new app opening?

Thank Dog

Member
On a Mac I'm used to double-clicking a file and it opening in the same window of the currently open program. Generally speaking you can't get the same program running in multiple instances on a Mac (yes, I know you can, which is why I said GENERALLY).

Is there any way to stop Hero Lab from opening a new version of itself every time I double-click a .por file? It's very annoying.
