How to set gnome obsessive to Bard performance?

Hello all,

Why can I not set my gnome obsessive racial abbility to a perform skill? This should be possible. Or am I reading the rules wrong. Now these points go to waste because I have to create a profession other which gives me lower points than my performance skills of the bard.

Core Rulebook pg. 23: "Gnomes recieve a +2 racial bonus on a Craft or Profession skill of their choice."

No mention of perform skills in the ability's description.
