how to create a new custom tab

hey all, i'm looking for examples or information on how to add a new custom tab panel.... does any one know where to look?

thanks

I would also advise you asking "why" you need this as their very well could be another way to solve your issue. As why Mathias is correct you can use a "configurable" to fake a new tab in many ways. Like I did for the Mythic Rules or Eberron Dragonmarks.

working on a system for incantations, using a prestige awards, but would like a new tab to track them without needing to sort through inventory. i was looking through your mythic play test but every thing i was looking at did not result in a new tab when i tried something similar., alsu looked at the eldrich heritage as that feat also creates a tab for the extra heritages. thinking something along the lines of including several premade ones from published material and custom ones that allows players to create thier own using this http://www.d20srd.org/srd/variant/magic/incantations.htm system.

I'm not familiar with how Shadow did his Mythic stuff, but I know eldritch heritage is done with a configurable. So is the Demonic Obedience feat, if you need another example.

For the Mythic Magic I used a Configurable to make what looks like a new "Tab" to allow selecting magic.

Very similar to what I did for Eberron dragonmarks. You take the feat and it bootstraps a bunch of Configurables. Then from the drop down on the feat you select the House and then the correct Configurable (ie tab) displays and makes the gamer select his Spell-like abilities.

For a Configurable they allow choices of feats or "R Cust Specials" that you setup in the the Editor. Then on the "R Cust Special" you just select the configurable as the race instead of a real race. Then bootstrap the Configurable to whatever you want to have it displayed. One thing I have learned also is DO NOT use a Source on the Configurable as it will do strange things.
