How to add a chooser for a school ability?

No, no, no. I never meant to say they automatically get all those abilities. I tried to avoid saying that, and I apologize if I was unclear.

They get to choose two abilities (not two schools, but two abilities) at 1st level, one ability at 2nd level, and one ability every two levels after that.

The list of abilities that they get to choose from is the collective list from all the schools where each ability is equal to or lower than their caster level.

So at 1st level, I could choose Acid Dart and Summoner's Charm, and then I'm done for that level. Those both come from the Conjuration school, but I don't get all the abilities from that school, just those two that I picked.

At 2nd level, I can pick Versatile Evocation from the Abjuration school. Just that one ability, and I'm done with 2nd level. And so on ...

Sounds like we are now on the same page. I am sorry for causing some confusion I am trying to skim read as I am in a hurry but still trying to help. ;)

Now that we are on same page does doing this like I mentioned HERE make sense?

I totally appreciate that you're trying to help. Thank you.

I'm not sure I completely understand what you're saying there. I'll have to play around with it at some point. Right now, I have to focus on getting things ready for our Saturday game (CLEAN ALL THE THINGS!), and I landed a job interview for Tuesday morning.

So, I will sit down and try to sort out what you're trying to explain to me, but it might be a while.

Ok fair enough. Good luck on the interview!!!! :)

If I can find a spare minute maybe I can throw together a very quick proof of concept example with a few of the abilities and stuff.
